I agree with your opinion concerning Jenna Elfman's performance. I was hooked during the very first scene. The combination of Jenna's unwinding shower and Alicia Keys song, "Fallin'" in the background was a great way to grab the audience from the git'.
And the way the story played out I was "thoughtful" at first with her friend Charlotte- and that soon gave to suspicions about her friend (Charlotte), but when it was obvious that her friend was NOT a friend... but just a voice in poor Elfman's head, I thought "whoa" (didn't see that coming) and it gave the story even more intrigue for me and I wasn't about to stop watching the movie unfold. And that part also made me more empathetic to Elfman's character. As she was dressing and crying as she was preparing to be moved to the prison, I really felt her pain...FELT her obvious sense of confusion and FELT her betrayal. For that to happen Jenna Elfman did her job as an actor and kudos to her.
Also, I knew after watching 'Obsessed' that I really wanted to learn more about Lisa Edelstein, who played her invisible Friend, Charlotte as an actress and have found, since then, that I also think she is pretty awesome. Her 2 episode visits to Seinfeld alone let you see the comedic actress she is able to be as well.
I would actually like to see these two talents do something together again in the future- with more interaction between them as actors than they did in 'Obsessed', as they played off each other very well in that story (in my opinion).
