Does anybody know the lyrics?
The song playing over the end credits... think it was "Ain't No Flies on the Lamb of God". It's such a hoot. I'd love to have the lyrics, but haven't found it so far. Thanks...

shareIn the Director's commentary, Stephen Fry mentions he wrote the lyrics.
shareain't no flies on the lamb of god
he's smarter than a whip
he rules our soul with an iron rod
with his firm but tender grip
CHORUS
jesus, jesus
fly me to the sky
lead us, lead us
jesus you're our guy
So don't you mess with the lord of hosts
or take him for a sap
the lord ain't suckered by no idle boasts
'cause the lord don't take no crap
CHORUS
(vocal jam)
Oh hear me, jesus!
Seize us, seize us
on our demons stamp
Believe me, beat us, beat us
jesus you're the champ
(at least that's what it sounds like. Mostly unsure about the second to last line...)
And no, I'm not nuts to do this, I just happened to be streaming the end credits when I read your post, so went ahead and wrote this. Took me 5 minutes. Tops.
That song was a riot. I didn't listen over the full credits, but the performance at the party had me laughing. The "Jesus, you're our guy" line cracked me up.
shareI can't get that song out of my head. It's brilliant!
shareIt IS brilliant. Watching last night, I realized how strong a resemblance this troup of 'angels' and their evangelist leader bear to Reno Sweeney and her singing 'angels' in the musical Anything Goes. Performing evangelists must have been a phenomenon of that time.
