What are your favorite episodes?

Just curious to know what some of your favorite episodes are. I can't recall when I started watching true life, it was years ago the episode I think I remember seeing as one of my first was the Urban Cheerleader squad and was one of my favorites. The very first I'm graduating high school I enjoyed but have never gotten to see the whole thing.I'm supporting my family I found heartbreaking really opens your eyes to how people have different living situations. One of my favorites for some reason even though it pissed s lot of people off. I'm a compulsive shopper. I found it hilarious, one of the girls leaving dinner to shop absolutely ridiculous, plus I love to shop but not to the extent of the girls in that episode. There was also another episode I don't remember if it was a moving to Ny episode but the majority of the people actually made it there, thought that was sweet.

The urban cheerleader episode was one of the first episodes I watched too.

Some of my favs are:

I'm Bipolar (I was 13 or 14 when that aired around 2001. I had never heard of that illness.

I'm in an interracial relationship

I'm coming out. (The original one.)

I'm getting married. How can you forget the infamous blow up that guy had with his limo driver on the phone on his wedding day. DON'T EVER TALK TO ME LIKE THAT AGAIN! I'LL GUT YOU! ..haha

I'm schizophrenic. That was a very sad episode.

The adoption episode where the girl wad so distraught over giving her baby up for adoption that she could barely sign the papers while sitting in her hospital bed. Heartbreaking.

I'm looking for my sibling.

I have embarassing parents. The kid whose middle aged white dad who wanted to be a rapper...hilarious.

So many to name...

I'm the sweetest bitch you'll ever meet.

The adoption one is the one I always think of. I wonder whatever happened if she was successful in getting the baby back.

The older ones seemed more natural....

I loved the bipolar one. It was really insightful and you felt for the people suffering through it.

I also remember the plastic surgery one too (it was older) where it had the two girls that had sooo much and were sooo young. And the guy had calf implants. It was interesting in a "oh my god I'm watching a trainwreck" kind of way.

Definitely more natural. I've never seen the plastic surgery one you're talking about, calf implants!! Holy...lol. I wish they'd show more older episodes. I love this show but I feel like it's gets more artificial as it goes on and this is one of my favorite shows left on mtv.

Agree. I like the episodes I want my dream body or I want the perfect body. Hard work and sacrifices always pay off.

Oh yeah I don't Remember if it was the first or second one I think they did like three? But one girl was like a scientist from Harvard and she started fitness modelling, I admired her not complaining once as she was doing that hardcore training. She had such a great attitude.

Her body was to die for. She changed so much with some hard. During her fitness competition she was well over shadowed. I think she was last place.

Im going to prom is one of my favorites.

The I have NF episode.
I have it and it was nice to see it being reconized and talked about.

My favorite is "I'm deaf," because it covered a condition that most people know about, but don't have much insight into. I also liked the fact that they gave different examples-- the guy communicated primarily with writing and ASL, while the girl lip-read and spoke.

"Ode to a Small Lump of Green Putty I Found in my Armpit One Midsummer Morning." Douglas Adams

Have to say the anger issues episode since the girl on it Anna is kind of hot, the one about pro gamers, the one about the girls with the big families, and the one with the competitive people.

I also REALLY like both episodes about the embarrassing parents.

I'm Going to Fat Camp was always a favorite of mine since I was always a chubby kid myself. It was about 3 people who went to a Fat Camp in Upstate NY and their journey with losing weight. Haven't seen that one in years! I believed it first aired in 2002 or late 2001.

I'm Dead Broke was another favorite. I was around 10/11 when it first aired in 2005, and it was a really sad episode. There was a really, really, dirt poor guy from Illinois who lived in literal filth, had to pump his own water, and his family couldn't even afford the $200 a month rent. Another was a young girl who had dropped out of HS and moved out to be on her own but wasn't making it and the money she'd made from her waitressing job kept getting stolen and she eventually had to move back home. The last girl was a young woman from Oakland, CA who hustled on the streets to make ends meet. It was a really depressing episode.

There were many, many other episodes I enjoyed but I can't remember the names. There was another I liked about how these two girls were dating guys their parents hated, one about baby mama drama, the list goes on. 18 years worth of episodes!

I Need A Transplant...about Craig Brandmeier who fought leukemia (and later died). It's the only episode that impacted me and I signed up to be a bone marrow donor after I watched.

Dexter: I would give everything to feel nothing again.

I agree that the older episodes were much more interesting. I remember the plastic surgery where the guy got calf implants. In that episode there were also two girls who were best friends and they were getting liposuction and a nose job so they could pose in Playboy. They were the most annoying, vain girls. Ugh.

Calf implants!!! LMAO I think I missed that episode.
