Interested in buying the dvd box..but..
im a fan of paranoia agent, and i saw some of lain, but i felt that one was a little too slow for me....
since im a PA fan, should i check this out? or is it worth owning
I have all three of the anime series that you mention and if you like Paranoia Agent and SE:Lain you'll probably really enjoy Boogiepop Phantom. SE:Lain and Boogiepop are both very deep anime with new things to discover every time you watch them, making them both worth owning in my opinion. I had no idea exactly how deep SE:Lain was until I read the postings on this site. Read all the reviews and board postings to see what I mean. Look for the board topic "The Origin/Nature of Lain" by joshua-a-mcknight for some idea of how deep the story in SE:Lain really is. And get Boogiepop Phantom, even though the name is kind of silly to us westerners. Think "Boogeyman" not the musical implication.
shareI want all 3 all I have is the Evangelion saga but those animes and a couple others are my favorites especially this one Paranoia Agent was great in a fun colorful kind of way. SEL is by far one of the best animes I've ever seen who ever wrote that really thought outside the box including Boogiepop Phantom it was so well thought out alhough it's derived from a book some things I didn't understand and alot of the episodes touched me. Especially episode 11 that one was so incredible and holds it's own. I must own all three of these by Christmas hoefully.
