i have never seen Boogiepop Phantom and would like to know what it's about.

there aren't even 10 animes that i think are worth watching, but here's some in no particlar order:

-FLCL
-Cowboy Bebop
-Blue Sub. 6
-Outlaw Star

That's really about it. if Boogiepop is as good as any of these i'd definately try it out.

Boogiepop is a very... Different anime. The art is beautiful and tstory is highly compelling... Every episode circles around one long story within a story happening to a character. That has to deal with the ending of the show. Hope I didn't lose anyone there. But is one of the greats. It's a little hard to find.... And when you do it's a little pricey [I paid $75.00 for mine. But that's because it comes with the whole series.] It's extremely hard to find seperate DVD's. Happy hunting. Hope everyone enjoy's the show.

Maybe people would start playing attention if you didn't have a hentai on your and and if you didn't have DBZ at #1 (on your list).

Actually, I think that's a pretty reasonable price for the season. I was in the video store about a month ago and I was shocked at the prices for Inuyasha and Fruits Basket. Fruits Basket was pushing $100. Of course this may have something to do with the popularity of those shows over Boogiepop.
The problem (and fascinating) thing with BoogiePop Phantom is how dark of a series it is. It's just plain creepy and may not translate so well for your typical CartoonNetwork anime fans.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Robotech, the anime that helped popularize Japanese animation in America.
I love Fruits Basket, but I never finished the series, I haven't found the chance to finish watching it. Samurai Champloo was real good. I liked the premise of it better than Cowboy Bebop, but Cowboy has better character development.
I recently discovered Naruto. The manga is awesome, the anime is just as good.

I'm not sure if could even name 10 shows off the top of my head, all I know is that I saw the last half of this series and I loved the method of connecting the stories and some of the show's quirks.

The only anime I really watch right now is Fullmetal Alchemist, also Trigun and Outlaw Star were pretty good.

This series was amazing. The end. I love how it creates a unique story, yet develops real-life crisis that can develop in any situation. Insanity, life, there is so much philosophy in this series, it's a amazing.

For people who are into anime, this series falls somewhere with:

-Serial Experiment: Lain

-Paranoia Agent (Most of Satoshi Kon's works as a matter a fact: Perfect Blue, and The Magnetic Rose except from Memories)

-The End of Evangelion

-Gantz

The series is very dark and suspenseful. If you like series with a touch of psychological thrills and a bit of "WTF", I suggest this series. This series also deals a lot with memories, regret, loneliness, and a lot of other "human burdens".

One of my favorites.
