Brilliant! Absolutely Brilliant!
I saw this mini-series for the first time yesterday and I have to say, it just blows away all the other Lesbian themed movies & TV series out of the water. Far far better than 'The L Word'. I'm just back from work and my hands are about to give way, but I still have to post this because this series deserves every bit of applaud there is to it. It was captivating and mesmerising. Rachel Stirling surely deserves a standing ovation for her mind-numbingly gripping performance. She just nailed the character of Nancy. Keeley Hawes was gorgeous as well. Both of them shared a fantastic chemistry.
Loved the music and the cinematography. I usually wish that such good series always needs to have more episodes, but with TTV, I never felt that way. I think it was justified to end it where it did, and quite satisfactorily, might I add. I have never seen such honest and true to life performances. Jodhi May was so freakin' beautiful as Florence. I rarely watch any TV series twice, but I think I'll give this one more go. But I just wish, I could erase my memory and start afresh with this once again. It was brilliant.
Watching series like these really goes to show how love between 2 ladies can be so heart warming, even more than us straight folks. Kudos to the cast of this show and to all you lovely ladies out there. I wish there were more shows similar to this. I'll have to pause now and come back later on may be.
