Can someone tell me story of Memories?

Hello,

I recorded this film but I missed the first part.
The only thing I saw was a woman on some roof being killed (or at least wounded) by some man with a heavy stone, and then it flashed back to the woman walking around in her home.
I also saw a couple arguing, a butchered body in a bag, and someone driving away from a new apartment block.

So I don't get it, what exactly happens in this short film?

Would help if you watched it all - this is like say I saw the end 2of any film" then asking what happened?

I can only say watch from the begining but forget what you have seen as this is the explanation for the rest of the film. Never good to watch the end of a film before the begining unless it was made that way.

Bassicly a woman gets murdered by her husband. Her 'ghost' doesnt know she's dead and wonderes around the city trying to get home. Her husband cant remember he killed her and if I remember correctly, thinks shes missing. In the end everything falls into place.

So you have no frame of reference here, Freddy. You're like a child who wanders into the middle of a movie and wants to know...

You're out of your element.

Koalas are telepathic. Plus, they control the weather.

Memories has good atmosphere and direction, but the story is fundamentally broken.

Here is what happens in sequence of the film, with timeline pointers:

A man awakes on his couch. He is a little slow rousing himself and seems confused. He slowly scans a living room littered with a few toys until his gaze rests on a woman crying next to a duffel. <near the end of the timeline>

The same man is next in a detectives office <essentially the beginning of the timeline>. He is reporting his wife missing and reveals he has amnesia, mostly for the audiences benefit as the detective finds this neither alarming nor disconcerting. Infact the detective goes on a long monologue about the root of trauma induced amnesia, which again is unbelievable and strictly for the audiences benefit. Is he a detective or a psychotherapist?

Here's where things get dirty and kinda cheap:

There is something of an irregular timeline narrative already in place once the wife gets introduced. Of course we are going to assume that the wife's experiences are something that happened prior to the husband killing her. This is not actually the case. She is a ghost! Who also has amnesia! Her story goes pretty much nowhere other than inevitably bringing her back to her apartment. There is a nonsensical segment where she tries to take a taxi, but the taxi driver terrorizes her and speeds her into the middle of nowhere, ditches her, and then tries to run her over...this segment is never explained. It's just a red-herring to divert you from the blatantly obvious facts of the film: wife is ghost, husband killed her...and now you gotta wait for 40 minutes for the reveal.

Despite the excellent atmosphere/direction/acting the narrative is flat and unimaginative and doesn't yield any emotional payoff to the characters struggles to return to each other and figure out what happened. From strictly a mystery aspect, it provides no pay-off as to how/why this happened. So essentially you sit through 35 minutes of film, even though you figured the essential plot elements out in the first 4 minutes.

At the end it shows the wife on the phone (maybe talking to her lover?), husband confronts her and she packs her bags to leave. We can assume from there he stops her, kills her, dismembers in her on the roof and puts her in the bag she is seen leaving with earlier.

The taxi is a bit misleading. I think he is just driving off to a destination and she happens to be a ghost in his cab. His phone rings and then changes directions after she gets out. He doesn't try to run her down, he is just going to another destination to pick up a ride? She doesn't know she is a ghost so thought he was kidnapping her and then trying to run her down.
