I watched this documentary on HBO and I just cried my eyes out.
It's terrible knowing that a lot of children and families had to go through the same pain and struggle as Nicholas and his own.
Nicholas is the one piece of the daughter and sister that they have left. In the end you know he'll keep them together. Just a sad and powerful story. One of thousands.

it was so touching watching the dad tell his son that his mom wasnt coming back, I cried so hard. It would be interesting for the makers to do followup films on these families every 5-10 years

I just watched it tonight and I was crying so hard I couldn't stop. The documentary itself needed some work, but the topic was so compelling it made up for the flaws.
shareI tear up just even thinking about Nicholas. I kind of felt like I was watching something very private and shouldn't be watching.
