Any recommendations for similar movie would be welcome.

Dear Sirs and Ladies.
Do any of you know of movies that have a similar feel to suspect zero (other then that creepy feeling that this movie is the answer to the question 'how bad can a Ben Kingsly + Carrie Anne Moss movie get?').
Silence of the lambs, dark side of humanity, what we wretched humans are really capable of, evil goverment plots to develop special talents, anything along those lines?
My kind thanks for you finite time.

If you want to see a great Ben Kingsley performance, check out Sexy Beast. It's a caper movie, but pretty intense. Check it out.

Along the serial killer lines, you've already mentioned Silence Of The Lambs. You might also want to see Henry: Portrait Of A Serial Killer. Identity was okay, but a little different (Ten Little Indians with a twist).

reply

Thanks. I'll be sure to do that.

reply

Don't forget Se7en. That was a pretty good serial killer film. Gacy was surprisingly good too and pretty accurate as far as biopics go.

reply

The best film about a serial killer is Citizen X, its even got the goverment plot( soviet) you want as well.
Even more scary is the fact that its based on a true story of serial killer Andrei Chikatilo.

reply

You're right on w/that mick65wolf ,I've seen pretty much everything in this genre ,but if I had to pick one I always come back to Citizen X ,it's simply the best & most realistic movie about serial killers ever made.

reply

You are correct! A great movie!

reply

Well, how about:

Plan 9 from Outer Space
Manos
Catwoman
Van Helsing
Alien versus Predator
Batman & Robin

They're all just as moronic and badly made, although the first two are much more entertaining and certainly nowhere near as boring as this tripe.

Watch "Memento". Its also a mental kind of movie. It has a similar feel to it: sometimes relaxed, sometimes creepy, a lot of times confused. Also has ideas about order and chaos.

reply

This "FILM" is an absolute amateur remix between Se7en and Frailty...

A little guilt goes a long way...

reply

It looked like a mix of Se7en and The Cell.

IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT YOU THINK...

except it was written the year seven came out and years before fraility.

spectre can

suck it.

reply

I agree with Se7en, Frailty, and Saw. I also enjoyed Along Came a Spider. Love that Morgan Freeman.

reply

how about The Usual Suspects?

reply

A similar book is called "Thinning The Predators" by Jim Starling and Dana Graziunas. I thought this film was the movie of this book when I heard about it. The serial killer hunting serial killers plot is there but with a government conspiracy part thrown in. It's far superior to this film.

I'm surprised no one mentioned "the eyes of laura mars"

suspect zero was written a year before this also so sorry.

Try- The Ugly ,Session 9(more of a haunting but creepy) ,Minus Man ,Just Cause(if you haven't seen it already),Switchback is also good.

reply

I tend to hate it when I see reviews of movies that say it's like movie x meets movie y, but I have to say that this movie reminded me of Silence of the Lambs meets X-Files.

reply

Most definitely pick up Se7en. But of course unless you've been living under a rock for the past decade, you probably have already seen that masterpiece...
