This movie lost me at the point that the new guy in the Albuquerque office went to the crime scene and had to explain disdainfully to the others, even his boss, that evidence has to be protected, like no one in law enforcement would know you have to wear gloves. This is the FBI, for God's sakes. Every agent Is trained in handling forensic evidence. They wrote the book, literally, on this stuff.

I hear what you're saying. I think they wanted to drive home the point that he was big time and was being punished by having to go to some small time office where nothing ever happens.
