Great!

I remember when this remake first aired on television. I don't recall much of it from the first time I saw it but I remember liking it. I saw it again recently on tv and I thought the performances were great. Carl Lumbly was amazing as always, Suzanne Douglass always brings class to each role, and Daniel Lee Robertson's performance really touched me. I love that Kevin Hooks directed it and Paul Winfield did a cameo.

The original was fresh in my mind so I was pretty sure the ending was different, so I wasn't ready for what came. I teared right up. I assume this version was closer to the book, seeing as I never got around to reading it.

I rather enjoyed it.
