Should gay Soldiers be killed by fellow soldiers ?

Hello, After you read this, please reply, i really do want to hear what people think about this..

My friend Brandon is in the Army in Iraq right now and I sent him a facebook message that said,"What do you think the guys in your Platoon would do if it was discovered that one of the guys was actually gay ?

Tyler told me that he is glad that gay people gets kicked out because he feels that American solders could kill their own troops if they found out one of their own guys were gay... so he said that gay guys being kicked out is for their own safety.
"

and then Brandon said,
"uumm...I could honestly really agree with that statement. maybe since we're all so close there would be some reprieve granted, but that guy would probably be on his way out either way.
"

And then I typed this,

"You mean that you agree with the statement that Tyler Slocum said? Why would soldiers kill a fellow soldier ? Just for being gay ? That person just wants to serve his country, not be discriminated against.. Should any one be denied the right to serve ? I some one who is gay serves in the Military and is responsible and professional and dose not behave in any homosexual way way and dose not make any advance's to any one, I strongly feel that he or she should not be kicked out for being gay.. In the 1950's,white Solders had a hard time accepting black solders being with them but over time discrimination towards black people faded away.

What did you mean that there would be some reprieve granted? I do not understand that.. He would be on his way out, either being sent home or killed by a fellow soldier ? I can't believe that? That is horrible ! What dose that saw about our Military, our country..
I HATE discrimination of every kind.. against Women, black people and gay people.

I think it's sad that Military men who are trained to be professionals can't be civilized to a fellow soldier who happens to be different then them who just wants to also serve his country.. It's the United States Military, not a prison... There should be a much higher standard in the behavior but apparently, there isn't"

So, I am asking all of you this,

1.
How do you think gay people should be treated in the Military ?

2.
If you were in the Military and you found out some one in your platoon or unit were gay, how would you react ?

3.
What are your thoughts and opinions on this topic ?

Please comment and express your self in any way..

I've known lots of openly gay guys in the military. Several stationed at Ft. Campbell. They don't have a problem.

I think it's kind of weird homosexuals are still such a big issue in a western country like the states. Maybe it has to do with religion, I don't know.
In most European countries it's very different and homosexuals are as anyone else.

If you ask a question like "How do you think gay people should be treated in the military?" it should get the same answer when you ask how people with brown eyes should be treated ("what the .. has that got to do with the job?").
People should be judged by their caracter/behaviour, nothing else.

Your question is a loaded one. NO-ONE should be killed by another member of the same army... for ANY reason!

If you asked whether he should be kicked out... that would be at least a "reasonable" question. Asking about if it's ok to murder someone? No...

NOw, that said, it is interesting that the ONLY Western Democracy that I know of (except perhaps Mexico?) where there is a problem of gays in the military is the USA.

The REAL QUESTION SHOULD BE: "What is the problem with American men that they feel so threatened by gays that they need to try and keep them out of the army?"

MY answer? American men are wusses...and extremely insecure about their virility.
That is the only reason ANYONE should give a damn if there is a gay in the locker room or the showers with them. So a gay man sees your dick? Who cares?
(Strangely enough, it is often the ugliest men who are them most afraid of being "hit on" by a gay man... as if gays had no taste in men! hahahahaha)

But underneath all that is the FEAR - the total FEAR - that if they actually LIKED the other guy, and then found out that he was gay... OOOOOOOOh! What might HAPPEN? Maybe they would get some feelings which they wouldn't know how to handle...!

Underneath that fear is the one that maybe they are not as 100% pure he-man as they have been brought up to think they HAVE to be.

Well guys, I got news for ya! I REAL man would be able to take it up the a$$ WITHOUT feeling that he has somehow lost his virility!

True story: I met a guy, he'd just arrived in Paris, and he saw me and others demonstrating for gay rights. He asked if he could join us, although not gay. Since he had just arrived and didn't have a room, I offered to let him stay chez moi. When he heard that I had back problems he offered to give me a massage. I accepted. Afterwards, I gave him a massage too. Then, both completely naked, we started to kiss. I got aroused. He didn't. I asked what was going on. His answer was priceless: "I like you and I like kissing, so why not? But I'm not gay, so it doesn't turn me on like it would if I were with a woman."

Now THAT is a man who is sure of himself and his sexuality! How many of you readers could do and say the same thing about yourselves? Not very many, I am willing to bet!

In fact, lots of straight men go with gays. A quick , easy and CHEAP way to get their rocks off. Doesn't make them less of a man! It just makes them a little more BISEXUAL perhaps, but again, who cares?

EVERYONE SHOULD BE FREE TO DO WHAT THEY WANT IN BED WITH WHOMTHEY WANT AS LONG AS NO-ONE IS GETTING HURT; it's as simple as that. All the rest is cultural or religious BS.

I think you should rephrase your title... you're asking for trouble!

Your real questions are: How should the gays be treated in the military? and if you were in the military how would you react to the news that one of your fellow soldier is gay?

Here's what I think but obviously I'm not in the military so obviously it won't change anything that's being said and one in the military. Live and LET LIVE!
My question is why should gays be treated any differently from any other soldier in the military? If they are willing to serve their country and apt to do so... what does it have to do with their sexual orientation? Or are the straight soldiers themselves so sexually aggressive they are under the impression they'll get raped as the women could be if there are gays in the military? (there are btw, obviously, but they are not allowed to say it, which is just hypocritical AND moronic... if there are some gays in the military and everything is fine, why would it make a difference if they said they were?!)

Second question... Nothing. It's a moot debate really. Since 2002, there have been many many female soldiers on the field with guys. And... nothing happened. So if straight women and men can serve together, why wouldn't gay and straight men or women be able to serve together? Again... what does it have to do with anything?

My gut reply to what you wrote is that I hope your friend Brandon gets a hot poker shoved up his ass for being such a piece of human crap.

Why are you evening asking some a ludicrously-titled question?
