Honestly he did a great job!! I didn't recognize him until he opened his mouth and talked in his real voice (not lip syncing)... He was very much in character and not only that but he also brought a lot of emotion to the movie...

I mean, I've always liked Lee, as Ned and as his character in The Fall and Miss Pettigrew, but he really has blown me away as Calpernia!
Seriously, I am really crushing on him right now (I just finished watching SG for the first time like 10 minutes ago).
Something about a man who can do what Lee did in this movie makes me so attracted to him.
I've always been one for the sensitive men, and I really like effeminate men too (yes, yes, what's it to you? lol).
He just put such a warmth in his character, and that sweet gentle voice...and he was so sensitive I just wanted to hug Calpernia throughout the whole movie!

I was amazed by Lee Pace's performance. I didn't know who he was so while watching the movie I assumed Lee Pace was a real transsexual person. What a performance!
sharei was watching the crappy Twilight breaking dawn movie--and he was in it & he was my fav part of the movie! i got a big crush on him & i didn't realize he was the SAME person in this movie! He played a women really well. great acting..but such a sad story :(

Sometimes you see men dressed as women and everything (from makeup to wardrobe to mannerisms) is so over the top you're like 'yeah that's a dude'. I didn't get that feeling watching this - I though Lee as Callie was fantastic.
Finally got around to watching this. Who knew under those heavy brows and stubble there was such a beautiful lady! He did a great job and so did the makeup artists. No idea if he won any awards, but he should have, in my opinion.
