The Borley (haunted) house is in the Amusement Park area the second time around you visit. You'll head over there after you beat the hospital 'world' part of the game.

Like the name suggests, it's a haunted house that you have to go through with a man (the same fellow who did the radio show in SH2 i think) narrating the story behind the house and it's previous tenants as you progress through the rooms. There's a few moments that will make you jump and you can die in it! I would definitely recommend saving before you enter!

The Borley Haunted Mansion is defineitaly one scary place. There's a guy on radio luring you in, and he also leads you around the house. Red lasers pop out and you have to run faster than them. They are hard, and I'd advise you to save the game before entering!

Haha I love the haunted house, too bad it was so short.

reply

I wish the haunted house was longer it was fun going through it.

Even though the Hanging dead body, and the collapsing wall were cheap scares, it was entertaining nevertheless.

Yeah they were cheap scares but I didn't mind, as you say they were entertaining and since the rest of the game is really scary it's not too bad.

My guess is that the house is a bit of a joke - the fact one of the least scariest places is the haunted house (although it still scared me - probably more in expectation.)

Actually going through the house was a bit like the experience of real life tacky ghost train from a travelling fair. I'm always nervous to get on them, spend most of my time with my fingers in my ears - then when I come out I think 'Well that wasn't very scary'.

The Hanging dead body was REAL though! Heather even confirmed it!

The collapsing wall wasn't a cheep scare in hard mode....it can actually kill her.

Good point on that.
It was abit annoying when you've played the previous modes and thought you can just run past that area to get it over with and find out that something different happens if you tried that in hard mode.
