About the classroom scenes (spoiler warning)...

I love this movie, but I still want to be respectful of those who've not seen it, or are not familiar with this incident...alright:

In the scenes where he addressing a classroom at his former high school, I was shocked. I was like, "They're actually applauding this liar?" And almost instantly, like perfect timing, my question was answered, as his smile disappeared, and it showed an empty classroom. He'd simply been fantasizing the teacher and students. ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT. I realized that was the point; this was so we the audience (as well as everybody else was) would know what it's like to be victims of Glass's deceptions. Merely one of Glass's delusions...when the reality was he would never even get invited to address a high school classroom. But the applause being shown for Chuck Lane was real. He was receiving 100% deserved praise for doing the right thing by exposing Glass's lies.

I loved it too. I thought it was going to be him coming clean, or before he got caught. I wonder if he ever talked to crowds while being a liar.
