For those of you who complain this is a bad poker movie

So many complaints that this is a "bad poker movie" based on the faulty poker rules which even the director admits they broke. Did none of you read the description on the back of the DVD?

"Getting played. It's all in the game.
The hand is quicker than the eye in LA's underground gambling scene, hustlers get hustled and fortune rides on every deal. Three small-time grifters devise a plan to beat the ultimate card mechanic - The Dean. But The Dean's table doesn't come cheap."

Does that sound like a poker movie, or a confidence game movie?

What's your point?

Regardless of the fact that it's a con movie, the poker flaws really stand out since it plays such a large part. I mean a few things we could let by, but there are just so many mistakes. It wouldn't have been that difficult to get a poker player to give some feedback. The biggest bug for me was the lack of table stakes (the fact that someone could over-raise and if you can't call, they win the pot) simply because it's just so un-fair and anyone can see that. Viewers would be thinking "How is that fair? Why would people even play a game like that"

Although, I didn't really mind that much, it bugs me a bit - but I guess I was more interested in the different methods of cheating.

How 'bout the fact that they started playing Texas Hold 'em in the last scene and everyone had five cards with no 'community' cards???

Keith Moon was the greatest 'Keith Moon Style' drummer ever!!

They may have started playing hold 'em, but if it was dealer's choice it could have easily swapped to stud or draw. That's not a flaw necessarily.
