ending made no sense *spoilers*
so after Lachlan is killed, the people just walk away and leave the girl there.. but a few minutes later, they capture her in the forrest ?.. what the hell was that.. ridiculous ending
It made perfect sense. They were in shock. They never expected something like this would ever happen. They witnessed the spiritual, economic and political leader of their community die horribly. While they're processing it, Beth Boothby escapes.
They eventually recovered and HOURS, not minutes, later they capture her. It's clearly very dark when they capture her.
Beth didn't even have to escape.. it's the people who decided to leave.. also it was only like a half hour later, they suddenly decide to wait in the forrest (that's part of the reason why it was dark) like it was planned.. the ending is laughable, it's simple as that
