End credit song

Where can I find the film version of the song "Almeno tu nell'universo" by Elisa? I got her "Lotus" CD but the song is the "unplugged" version.

The song as heard on the film is only available as a CD single in Italy. You can purchase it at Amazon.de actually (search for Almeno tu nell' universo). It will take a long wait but it's definitely worth it, that's how I got mine.

There was also a film soundtrack but it has been discontinued.

I found a link to it online. When you click on the link a blank browser window will open, but the song will play in whatever media player you have. I hope the link is still working...

You can find it on iTunes, search for the title "Almeno tu nell'universo". It's an old song by Mia Martini that was later covered by other artists.

You're very welcome Monimm!

I certainly understand how the cover from the movie is enough to appreciate such a beautiful song, but I think that Elisa's cover ultimately is almost an insult to what the song really is. It starts fine, but as it goes on...it just makes me cringe, I can't help it, especially hearing the full version at the link provided above...

So one more reason for a small tribute to the very talented Mia Martini - please listen the original artist from the 80's in this video:

The arrangement and the overall look might make us smile almost 20 years later, but the passion sure is there...

And you can read some details on her here:

Great links, giovi-1! Thanks a bunch for posting them. Mia Martini, what a great singer! I listened to other songs of hers posted on Youtube. I really like her voice, a bit raspy and with great dramatic range. Too bad she died so young. I wish I knew about her sooner. I did a search and found ger on Amazon.com too. I think I'll buy the "Semplicemente Mia" CD. I agree the orchestral arrangements are a bit outdated, but I think they fit her interpretation style perfectly. In my opinion, whoever thinks old music is not worth listening to, does not really appreciate music, dontchathink? According to such people, probably even music by Beethoven and Bach should be shelved somehwere in a dusty room...

Ya know, I forgot how great Italian music is. Since I moved to the US I hear very little of it. I remember watching the San Remo festivals and listening to a lot of Italian singers when I lived in Europe...
Here I hear almost only Anglo-Saxon or Hispanic stuff, and it's practically impossible to keep up with what goes on in Italian music, or any other European music for that matter, other than British (even that one is not completely accessible to the US public - we're at the mercy of what the American media consider profitable enough to broadcast...). I think Americans are missing out on so much great world music - god forbid the media lose ratings by broadcastig something that's not safely mainstream and familiar...

I'm very glad you enjoyed the links! And I agree with you, oldies are goodies and Europe has a lot to offer - in the US we just have to search it out a bit... Take care.
