the Silence...

First off I loved this movie and wished I had friends like these that I could just sit and talk to like that.

My question is why did they all get so silent and awkward when Sarah admits that she is insecure and keeps seeing her ex Keith becasue she doesn't want him to be completely happy? I can complete relate, after being dumped by someone sometimes you hope they're never happy again. Or that they realize what a mistake it was to let you go. I'm not saying it's right, it's actually a pretty small thing to do, but c'mon we're human! We can't help what we feel.

I suppose it's because people feel so uncomfortable with other people's weaknesses. It destroys their image of who you are in their heads as this strong confident person, which is like what Sarah was.

And yeah this group of friends seem pretty amazing.

She wasn't dumped by Keith, she dumped him. Remember, he told her that he still loves her. So basically she doesn't want the man that she dumped who still loves her to be happy, so she is just toying with his emotions and, what's worse, doesn't see what is wrong about that.

I use quotes from movies others deem cool to gain acceptance!!!
