Best of the Board One Line Reviews

This movie is just fantastic. I don’t understand people arguing over ratings and whether it is bad or good. Even if you are a Seagal or action movie fan you have to admit this is in no way a good movie, but I absolutely love it.

Here in one place are all the best review comments from the IMDB board members (thanks to everyone for making me laugh).

“really, really, really, really bad”

“pissed myself the whole way through, seminal”

“I thought this film was from the 80's”

“Without doubt the single worst film in the history of motion cinema”

“Seagal’s second best "revenge" movie”

“This could have been a great film with the right director"

"Plot was inviting, mysterious and shocking in parts"

"I thought it was a comedy i was laughing so much"

"Some kind of weird tax writeoff"

"Rubbish, incoherent plot, no story and absolute confusion throughout"

"From a purely technical standpoint, I think this movie was actually very well-made for a Segal film"

"From every standpoint imaginable this movie is total and utter crap"

"Better than the foreigner"

"The WORST movie title in the history of cinema"

"A doughy middle aged white guy who moves like mud flowing uphill can kick wave after wave of wiry, in shape, kung fu masters"

"Just an absolutely retarded movie"

"Way too entertaining to be turned off before finishing it"

"Ridiculous scenes followed each other endlessly until the end credits"

"Silly dialogue, nonsense plot, terrible action scenes, improbable locations"

"Michael Oblowitz, the man who gave us the highly forgettable THE FOREIGNER, should have his ungifted hands cut off!"

"Anyone who liked this picture is a poster child for education reform"

"Please for the love of god do not watch this movie"

"This was by far the greatest piece of film i have ever scene"

"Seagal is looking wider and moving slower than ever"

Brilliant post.
I saw it a couple of nights ago and I still cant get my head around it. Im going to beg my local cinema to put it on for one night so I can stand outside and look at the stunned expression on the faces of the audience as they stagger out.

You really should do it - and film them! It would be priceless to see!

I've just re-read this and laughed (again) until my gut hurt! I'd remove a certain few e.g. “This could have been a great film with the right director" because there's nothing inherently funny in it, but then humour is very subjective, isn't it?

My favourites from your list are (in no particular order because that might just be impossible):
“Seagal’s second best "revenge" movie”
"Some kind of weird tax writeoff"
"Anyone who liked this picture is a poster child for education reform"
"Please for the love of god do not watch this movie"
"This was by far the greatest piece of film i have ever scene"
“pissed myself the whole way through, seminal”.

My own attempt would be: Watching this movie I was shocked, appalled, and deeply disturbed, as with movies like Hostel or The Devil's Rejects, but for different reasons.
