Undiscovered Classic..

Sorry all, I just plain loved this movie.

Admittedly Seagal had to work with a poor plot but luckily being so much more than a world class street fighter and martial artist, he turned it around with a sterling performance.

I thought the plot was inviting, mysterious and shocking in parts and I especially enjoyed the female cop narrative at times and felt her descrition of seagal as an unseen killing shadow was scarily factual given his decorated, specialist military past.

There were some outstanding performances thoughout including the monkey kung fu master who contrary to some reviews here, performed without the aid of wires or any special effectds. From experience I know masters are capable of some amazing feats and true masters have the nerve to do it under any circumstances.

I'd highly recommend this movie to anyone with an interest in action movies or martials arts it delivers at all levels.

Good luck.

Without wires? You have to be kidding me. Let's get serious now. I would have loved this movie if it was not ruined by that ridiculous fight scene alone!

My friend I have studied the ancient ways for many years and have witnessed true masters do much more impressive acts than this.

it seems the only thing you and your friend study is the effects of ecstasy

A wise nun kai tao master once said 'The swallow mocks but the eagle soars'.

I think thats you nicely but firmly put in your place my friend.

I have seen masters of the ancient ways from Tibet to Birmingham who could easily perform the feats in this movie, so forgive me for being a little less impressed than you with them.

if you open your eyes you can cleary see the wires holding him up in a few quick shots

My friend, my friend if you open your mind you will see and believe, I have trained with many masters and learnt much from them.
Go to that place in your mind where dreams end and unconciousness begins and you will be on the path to ancient enlightenment, then with much hard work and training you too may acheive such seemingly wonderous physical feats.

You don't need smoke just belief.

Believe in yourself and everything else follows, I have seen masters fall from 10 storey buildings and land uninjured with the power of belief.

The body is as strong as the mind makes it.

A master once said 'hideusa fuwjin wio-gef', treasure these words.

another master once said "stop puffing the magic dragon"

Insolent welp you will never master levitation.

Er, I worked on this movie and the Monkey Kung Fu master actually did perform with wires, but glad you liked it. I thought it was looking pretty good at the time, but not so when I saw it.......

I have hurt my ribcage from laughing at this thread.

ROTFLOL!

Channel your energy laughter can be a powerful force in the art of Randoori. Master Seagal can ring a bell through laughter alone.

reply

I think Seagal needed wires just to walk around :-)
