makes sense to me ???!!!

no probs man perfect stoner movie, spliff up and weird out and enjoy
wtf is it real or un f@ckin real
mind bendin mental hallucinatin road trip to hell and beyond
and a late night stop for mushroom tea & poppy seed biscuits on the M5 service station down to Great Auntie Berthas acid house
Surf Shop Mansion in Cornwall...

errrmm.. no..

ok.. serious. I'm at least a generation older than most who post here
and quite happily well experienced in surreal 1960's and 70's fractured abstract narrative movie
modes of story telling..

I enjoyed this film.
Of course it makes no sense, and I applaud the director and writer [and more importantly lighting camera crew]
for pulling off one of the best low budget barmy poetic narrative scare thrillers
since the glory days of "Dont Look Now" and "The Whicker Man"

[and all the hundreds and thousands of lesser known and well critically despised mad as f@ck ripped to shreds by anglo american censors
cheap euro brain dissoloving exploitation horror pantomimes..]

well worth the price of a blank DVD to record it off the BBC
and a gallon of cider to watch it on a late saturday night long after the pubs chucked out..

funnily enough, if I was still a serious minded literature or film studies student like I was 30 years ago..
I could probably keep my mates bored wide awake all night long droning on about how if you think really deep about it
the story actually makes perfect sense..!!??

Well, I'm weird too I guess. I didn't think it was that awful. I wouldn't give it 4 stars, but I like weird. I'm also a fan of Madeline Stowe. I liked the dynamic between her & the daughter. I thought the first hour was scary & suspenseful.
It kind of went downhill from there. I also thought JRM was miscast. He wasn't menacing enough...
So shoot me...:)
