Loved it!

I bought this movie over the Christmas holidays and enjoyed it alot.
Maggie Smith did a wonderful job as the lead actor, of course she is good in everything!
The sweeping Italian countryside scenery added a special charm to the whole look of the movie.
Weeping branches of wisteria hanging over the outdoor shots were beautiful. You could almost smell the author's magnificent garden.

I didn't see the whole movie, I was just channel surfing. But what I did see, I really liked. Can't wait to see the whole movie. Maggie Smith is just one of the best actors of our times.

Look our for "Ladies in Lavender" and thank me when you watch it. I am sure you will love it. Music fantastic (By Nigel Hess) you will want to download track - no spoilers but it sums up the essence of the movie. Enjoy.

I thought this was a great film as well. A little boring, but sometimes great movies are boring. Maggie Smith did a wonderful job in the lead role.

On IMDb, trolls cannot understand these two words, OPINION and LEAVE.

I just watched the film for the first time, a couple of weeks ago, and was totally blown away by it. I did not find it boring at all - the story really held my attention. It's a lovely film with wonderful scenery and music and fantastic acting. Maggie Smith is briliant as Emily Delahunty, and is incredibly beautiful and elegant in this movie. Well worth a watch for the stunning photography and incredible (as always) performance from Maggie Smith.

It was the lovely scenery that saved this movie for me. It's a pity that they didn't have a better excuse to use such a beautiful setting. I think that the story is mostly a waste of a good cast.
