It didn't strike me as particularly palatial for the type of people they were trying to be - lots of houses like that for wannabes in London if you don't mind a huge mortgage.
shareIt is a very big house. The entrance hall is vast. That house would cost an arm and a leg in London but it is clear that it isn't the same location that was used for the exterior when the Toots and The Mother were making their way there at the start.
