Elena or Mia? (possible spoilers)

Who do you think Xander should have ended up with? I realize it was supposed to be based on the play by Shakespeare but they took enough liberties in adapting it that they could have just had him end up with anyone.

Anyway, I personally thought Elena was a really interesting character and Mia was just kind a cardboard cut-out of an attractive blonde.
