I thought it was okay...

I just know I'm going to get blasted for this, but I don't think it was too bad. To be honest, I was shocked when I looked this up and found out it was put out in 2003. When I watched it, from the film-style (as well as the clothing styles), I figured it was from the mid-eighties or so, which is probably why I haven't judged it so harshly. If I watched it again, knowing it is from 2003, I might judge it a little more critically. While the acting and the script were kind of on the hokey side, I've seen considerably worse horror movies than this one. I think the cheesiest thing was the whole human servant "We'll get to be beautiful forever" line, when they SEE the vampires who are horrible, disgusting monsters pretty frequently. That wasn't believable...well, most of the movie wasn't really believable, but that's horror for you anyway.

The sets/locations were great. They did a good job with the whole abandoned/apocalyptic thing, the world that was left had a really authentic feel. If you are into that post-apocalyptic world feel, it's worth a peek for that reason alone.
