If you haven't seen Messiah 1 stop reading.
How does Duncan Warren keep his job after selling the story in the first one? Is it some sort of compensation for being imprisoned as Silver Tongue?
I was more surprised how Red kept his job and/or rank due to his hit and run on the end killer, like you said perhaps certain things were swepted under the carpet due to the fact that the killer was a cop and media interest was crazy...
However could they realistically prove Duncan had given information? Can't see the reporter confirming he was the informant and Red using police intimidation to get the information would not be a favourable conviction...
