This movie was terrible

I found this movie to be a horrible mess of a "romance". I'm sorry, but there's something disgusting about any romance between a high school teacher and her student, no matter their genders. That's unethical, an abuse of power, and just...wrong. Gay people have enough people calling us immoral without "romances" that are as messed up as this. There was so much predatory behavior in this movie it nauseated me. Annabelle, though a teenager, was behaving in a predatory manner because Simone was vulnerable. Simone was abusing her power as a teacher and giving in to a teenager's advances. And Simone's aunt the Mother Superior...there was that very odd scene that implied she had sexually abused Simone. The fact that women sexually abused or raped by other women is a serious crime that almost no one takes seriously compounded my anger at this film.

This entire movie was nothing but uncomfortable, disturbing unhealthy relationships that all felt very wrong. The sex scene was hot, though the fact that Annabelle was actually an actress in her mid 20s instead of a girl in her late teens has a lot to do with that. I found all the "seduction" scenes just to be uncomfortable. It troubles me that people find stories and situations like this romantic.
