great portrayal of Annabelle

This was an absolutely refreshing portrayal of a lesbian teenager. All too often homosexual teens in films are shown as being unsure of their sexuality, confused, conflicted, experimenting with the opposite sex, etc. I praise the wonderful Katherine Brooks for having Annabelle as an out, proud, sassy, beautiful, cool lesbian who knows exactly what she is and what she wants. This was such a positive depiction of being a gay teen as there are so many other girls in real life just like Annabelle. The character is such a cool creation and really makes me feel proud.

Yes, she did a great job playing a teenager that's very mature, secure of her sexuality and proud because the actress that played the "teenager" was 25 years old. I hate it in movies when they have people in their mid to late 20's playing 15-18.

Okay. So who exactly are supposed to play teenagers in movies with adult themes? Surely you're smart enough to know why actual teenaged actors legally cannot play characters who engage in sexual activity? If you don't know, then shame on you.
