Considering that friggin' Fox won't even show the episodes which have already been made (nothing new for them -- when you're owned by Rupert Murdoch you can afford to string along series producers and fans and then fail to air the last two episodes), I'd say the chances of LEGAL copies being made for DVD is zilch.

Now if it had featured some skeezy skank who offered to marry Ted on television if the Dumont network paid her a thousand dollars, Fox would have it airing three nights a week. But Murdoch would have insisted that Andy Lawrence be replaced by some hideously deformed dwarf, who would then have to choose between the skank and
Michael, and if he chooses the skank he'd be sent to Vietnam, so Fox's "news" channel could then air a sermonizing "news" program about him doing his patriotic duty. In someone else's country. As Rupert does.

Dang! I could schedule Fox's whole Fall line-up -- I know its standards so well!

whoa, somebody went off on a rant there... I would be surprised if Oliver Beene isn't released before the end of 2005. Like mentioned above, Rupert Murdoch owns Fox, and he loves his money, so in the end, Fox will put out whatever possible to make money. Some proof of this, which also injects some hope into a possible Beene set, is the fact a Greg the Bunny DVD set is coming out soon. And last year they released The Tick on DVD. If they can make money off it, they'll do it.
