question about mythological elements?

I was told that there were mythological elements and themes presented in the movie, and i could not seem to find many at all. I obviously saw the biblical themes and the metaphors, but failed to see any mythological elements.

Let us not forget that biblical references, though religious for our time, are also mythological. In which case, the entire movie is centered around an ongoing myth of Heaven.

B
