Violent Chrysalids??

This movie is really too crappy to generate any major discussion, but wasn't it just a lame rip-off of the Chrysalids? And wasn't Equilibrium jut a violent Fahrenheit 451?

I'm sure there's more, those are just the two jumpin out at me most at the moment.

I'd like to sit in on the conference calls that spawn movies like "Fahrenehit 451 with kung fu", or "the Chrysalids, but way worse and featuring Lance Henricksen".

I think it's a bit much to put Equilibrium in Dream Warrior territory...

I thought X-men was the closest movie it resembled (also never seen Chysalids). Like X-men without makeup or costuming, and instead of Magneto, we have Lance Henriksen.
