Why didn't Anna's band members see her mom performing the solo?

She was standing just off to the side, so the audience couldn't see her, but I'm positive you can see her friend Maddie looking right at "Tess" playing the solo, but none of them say anything. I would think they would have found it strange and said something.

Jean Grey could have lived to become a god, but it was more important to her she die... a human.

lol.

Agreed--I always wondered the same thing. And couldn't the audience tell that Anna basically wasn't even touching the guitar for the first ten seconds? She looked backstage at her mother in complete shock and then just kind of went with it. Anyone would have been able to tell that sound wasn't coming from her.

Even if they saw her, they probably didn't care, since Anna was bombing their big audition. They were looking at, and concentrating on Anna, Plus, JLC was standing in the shadows.

They were busy performing and hoping to get into the finals. That probably made them not notice the mother in the wings.

She was behind a wall. Only Anna could see her. Maybe part of the audience could if they were paying attention but they would have to have on binoculars and read her lips to know what she was up to. She could have been just some stagehand goofing around back there.

However realistically in "real life":

If you have ever worked in Theater (which I have) you would know that the back of the stage is not supposed to be seen by anyone including the actors - from center stage especially - because if the two girls saw her then the audience definitely would see her as well - which would be utterly ridiculous. That was more for our benefit as the movie watchers.

Would a Cupcake kill you?

They probably DID notice but had to go along with it since Tess (in Anna's body) was a sitting duck on stage lol.
