Ryan Malgarini's (Harry) performance

I am really surprised that nobody else has noticed or thought to comment on the performance of Ryan Malgarini, the young actor who played Harry, Anna's little brother. As I mentioned in another post, I have seen this movie way too many times - embarrassingly many, really... and one of the things that I have noticed is that this kid delivers a totally flawless performance. His focus and delivery are absolutely amazing! He never misses a beat. I can find slack moments in all the other actors in this movie (as good as they are overall), like Jamie Lee Curtis, when she grabs the fries in the car and asks about Stevie Nicks - not smooth... Or the many awkward moments Mark Harmon delivers. The somewhat wooden performance of Harold Gould and even Lindsay Lohan glitched a few times here and there in her delivery. But not Ryan... I have tried to find a single spot where he might have drifted off when the camera was not directly on him or when he did not have any lines to deliver - which is when most actors tend to drop the ball. But this kid is a total freak of nature, he never miss-uses a moment in this film. Amazing...! I haven't watched him in anything else, so I can't say if he is consistent or not in his career - maybe it was just extra good direction...? - but in this particular movie, he shines. In my opinion, of all the great actors in this movie, and in spite of being just a young kid (which actually makes it all the more amazing...) he did the best job overall in portraying his character seamlessly and seemingly effortlessly. Big kudos to Ryan/Harry!!!

And no, I don't know him or anyone related to him personally. Never saw him before or since. Just felt he deserved the recognition.

I agree. This movie had one of the best ensembles of 2003.

Never saw him before or since.

Since you've written that post, he's done more things. Go to his IMDB profile.

Also 100 percent agree though I don't think there was anything wrong with the Jamie Curtis who's Stevie nicks scene ;)

Don't look at me

100% agree! When I watched him, I though this kid did a really good acting job for his age, his expressions and reactions are so believable and natural, not even a single spot that he looked off... He was a cute and good looking kid in this film..

I can't agree more. He hit it out of the park in every scene.
