why did Stacy not like Anna?

I wondered why Stacy didn't like Anna and she always torched her. My only guess is that Stacy really is mean and they held a grudge against each other about something.

My only guess is that something happened, perhaps something that even Anna doesn't realize hurt/angered Stacy, that made Stacy hate her.

That or Stacy got popular and is just a jerk/brat so she ditched Anna for her new, "cool" friends and so therefore doesn't like Anna anymore.

Anna implies it's because they both had crushes on Jake in Tess's office when she flipped out at the mom for reading her daughter's diary

Tess (in Anna's body) mentioned that Stacy became a cheerleader thus meeting new friends and becoming popular causing her to feel superior to Anna who was a tomboy and punk rock chick.
