'Lambray' in Flower of Evil

In the beginning when his father collects Francois from the airport he suggests that he has missed "Lambray" over there in America and at the first meal back home further mention is made about missing "Lambray" What is "Lambray" in this context. The best I can do is that it is a perhaps a local Bordeau wine but there was no glass raising, sniffing the glass, smacking of lips, or other traditional wine apprciating carrying on. So is it some sort of "lamb stew" or lambs brains done in garlic and butter?
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance

I think they're referring to "lamprey," a jaw-less, eel-like fish.

It sounds gross, but apparently it is an old French favorite.
