Actually I thought it was very funny. I presume you don't mind spoilers as you've just asked what happened.\

Taylor/Debbie Rochon goes crazy, trying to strangle the bitchy blonde, and then the detective dude turns up (Shane/Brent Huff). He chases her with a gun. She runs up on top of this artifical rock structure over the pool with the fountains. She takes out a (small) knife.

He looks up at her, "Don't do it," Shane shouts.

After a few seconds of this dialogue, Taylor stabs herself in the stomach, and falls head first into the pool. Shane turns away, his back to the pool.

I'm thinking, hey DUDE, she stabbed herself wiht a SMALL knife, she might still be alife. Shouldn't you be jumping in and pulling her out and then calling an ambulance?

But this is a horror/thriller movie, so of course, once he turned his back to her, Taylor suddenly JUMPS OUT and stabs him. As he falls back to the ground, he takes his huge Magnum or Colt gun, and blasts her three times, BLAM BLAM BLAM.

"You crazy bitch', he says.

So now I'm thinking, yeah she's dead now allright.

HAHAHA.

Actually, they had one further twist right at the end, which I thought was funny too, in an outrageous sort of way.
