Prequel to Aliens and Cowboys?

im the only one talking about it on the face of the internet.

It's been a year since you wrote this, but I just jumped on here to look for thoughts on the movie because, quite frankly, it was weird.

I haven't seen Aliens and Cowboys yet, but that line jumped out at me when it was said. I wonder if that was Jon Favreau's inspiration...?

I like the idea! For a while I was guessing it was similar to The Game in which the main character actually got the part he was auditioning for which turns out to be a sort of reality show with actors putting him unknowingly into a crazy drama for his fulfillment. The part about him putting bullets into the gun seemed straight out of The Game. But then I was wrong. And that's fine because I like it just fine the way it is.
