The 'period' parts of the movie were the best

I kinda wish they hadn't bothered with the B story aspect of the film where the real Adam and Burt hunted the missing Bat Mobile. That was pretty lame really. But the recreations of how the show was made, the back stories and so on were wonderful. I would have been nice if the whole movie was just that, a look back at the story of the show, rather than the intertwining it with modern day story.

Yeah, I agree with that. I actually also would have liked to see more real footage, like the Lyle Waggner scenes. I thought that was kind of cool.

This movie had a lot of potential and did rather well I thought. But there is always room for improvement.

I agree, but I think it worked well with the "present day" scenes.

I agree with you but it was still cool to have Adam and Burt in it.I also loved seeing all the scenes of the Bronson Caves doubling for that batcave.I was up at those caves about two months ago and they still look exactly as they did from the series and after watching this dvd twice now in two days,I think it's time to taking a little ride back up there again this weekend..

Are you crazy?? The period parts offered some intersting info but they were largely boring. Seeing Adam West on the other hand (Burt is not very funny at all, as in the Batman movie) is pure gold! Calling his butler 'Alfred', having a batpole in his home. Those bits are great!

Oh, the egg-throwing fight is one of the many true stories from the Batman set they show in this film. They had wrapped that shoot, and had nothing to do with the eggs, so Vincent Price immediately initiated a massive food fight. Awesome stuff, and totally, totally, true.

i prefered the peroid pieces too. the main sequence had some charm but without the flashbacks it woulda collapsed. it was also quite confusing how in the main sequence they were all slapstick and over the top, while in the flashbacks they were playing it straight
