Why no petitions or mass emails to CBS?

You would think with as many fans that this show has something would have been organized by now... petitions to CBS to keep it going, or Bruckheimer to shop it around to a different network might have gotten some results... I've seen petitions started for shows with far less fans that have had some results... but you guys have done nothing...

reply

There were petitions in the spring--at least two that I signed, but obviously they didn't influence CBS.

Stick a fork in it -- the show is done. The last few eps looked like everyone would rather be somewhere else -- they were going through the motions.

reply

That may be so, but all the cast and crew thought they were all coming back for the next season, as did we, the fans.

reply

Can you blame them with what they were given to work with? The cast has had to struggle with terrible plots and evern worse wriring for several seasons.

The cast is the only factor that kept the show going as long as it did.

Because WAT had ceased to become a show that had chracters or cases you cared about and became a soap opera. Jack Malone became nothing but a bully with a badge and the five seconds they did focus on the cases weren't enough to make you care about any of them.

I think the stories written for the MP became just as superficial as the writing for the team. As the show progressed and the writing got worse, it became more difficult to care about the MP. The dialogue and the storylines were silly and so over the top that it became a very uninteresting show.

I was truly disappointed with seasons 4 and 5 but thought the show could improve. But after watching seasons 6 and 7...well those final two seasons were truly dreadful.

The baby storyline was the final nail in the coffin. It simply didn't work.

I would sign a petition not to bring back the show but rather for the DVDs to come out in region 1. Season 3 is my favorite and more than 2 years after the release of season 2 we're still waiting!

I advise you to get a multi-zone player, S1-5 are available overseas and S6 is about to be released, or actually has been released, in Europe.

reply

Well I just bought a blu-ray player, don't know if it's rmulti-zone...
