The episode Still Champions was an insult to Chicago Bears fans.

Anybody who has seen the episode Still Champions knows about the fact that Bill accidentally ended up with Willie Gault's Super Bowl ring. Bill and Judy used the ring to get preferential treatment from places around town. Many of the people in this episode really thought that Bill was a member of the 1985 Bears. One guy even said "Bill Miller! I totally remember you!" I think that anybody who followed the 1985 Bears would have known that there was nobody named Bill Miller on the team. Therefore I think it was insulting to real life Bears fans that the fans in this episode were portrayed as such gullible people. I loved the part where the jeweler put Bill in his place, scolding him for being disrespectful with Willie Gault's ring.

LOL!!!

"Do you even remember what you came here to find?"

Well thank god someone had the grapes to say it. Clearly anyone who followed the 85 Bears knows the names of all 53 rostered players. Much like current Bears fans are familiar with franchise stalwarts such as Montell Owens and Blake Annen.

Turd.

Completely agree. I was only 7 but I knew all the players. Anyone from Chicago, and most of the country, knew the Super Bowl champion Heard. All of them!!!

Yes, but this is a comedy so its not supposed to be realistic. If it was that much of a big deal the NFL probably would have had a issue with it but they didn't.
