Russian Dolls

Just wondering if this series is like the one before Russian Dolls or better?

"Russian Dolls" appears to have been used as a title - only by SBS Australia - to promote this series. That title never appeared on the episodes themselves. For its second airing they used "Russian Dolls - Sex Trade" and went to commercial breaks with the kind of saxophone music you'd expect in a parody of a soft-porn movie.

The new 2008 series is being aired under the name "Matrioshki", with no attempt to "sex it up" by SBS. A big improvement.

As for the quality of the new series, well, I guess we'll find out over the coming weeks, since it doesn't even appear to be listed on IMDB.
