Dexter's Laboratory vs Jimmy Neutron

Dexter's Lab is way more original and better IMO. Sometimes Jimmy Neutron tries way too hard to be funny (like the episode where he sleeps over at Carl's house. The jokes were just plain stupid).

And Dexter's Lab was a completely different cartoon, way earlier, and on a different channel, what's your point?
The plot was completely different, the jokes were different, the tone of the show was completely different.

Their only similarities are that they're both shows about smart boys who lack common sense.

Dexter's Lab is also way more darker.

Jimmy Neutron sucks, and who says that you can't compare two shows. They both have similarities and differences thus we can go on with any type of comparison.

I'm sick of people saying this show "sucks." But whatever, people have opinions. It bothers me less when they have reasons though. BTW the only thing that is common between Dexter and Jimmy neutron is the main character is a "boy genius." The similarities stop there; they are completely different.

I like both shows, they both have their strong points. I do think it's fair to compare them, both about genius boys with secret labs... c'mon...

People that say you can't compare two shows are just not open to criticism. I mean if we can compare, in English IV, two poems about women's rights. Then we can for sure compare to shows about a boy and his secret lab.

Jimmy Neutron doesn't suck! However, Dexter's Lab is a little bit better though!

Actually, Jimmy is pretty open about his intelligence and it's implied that the existence of his lab is no secret to anybody, whereas with Dexter's Laboratory it's pretty much a major plot point.

I prefer Dexter for it's more pleasing animation, different tone and humour, and just the good ol' nostalgia filter. Jimmy Neutron is a good show that I can laugh at and enjoy, but it doesn't strike the same chord as Dexter.

well duhh Dexter is better... Then again, i grew up with Dexter lol. when the Jimmy Neutron movie came out, i was already halfway through elementary school

Jimmy Neutron is a better person, better inventor and better pet owner :D
dexter is funny, jimmy neutron doesn't need jimmy to be the one making all the jokes. :S don't compare shows cause both are awesome
