I'm guessing you've all seen the one where Jimmy and Cindy are fighting over weather Australia is a country or continent. but really, which is it? i know it's a continent, but is it also considered a country?

I live in New Zealand (which is next to Australia) and the continent I live in is called Austrilasia! I can see how this can be confused with Australia.
Australia is a country, it is in the continent Austrilasia.
There are 7 continents North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Antarctica, and Australia (though i always was taught New Zealand was part of oceania which i dont know if it is part of the australian continent or asia, obviously if it is part of asia its just australia but if it is considered part of austarlia then the more appropriate name would be Austarlasia or Austroceania)
But if new Zealand is considered part of austalia's continent (the one austalia is on) then whoever said Australia is a country would be right, i dont remember on that episode who was arguing what but whoever said it was a country would be right that is if dingle mouse is correct
It depends on your view. If you consider Oceania to be one of the continents (these are usually the same people who consider Europe and Asia one continent - Eurasia), then no, it's just a country. But if you believe in the seven continent system, then it's both. Most people agree that it's both a country and a continent.

what i believ/thought is that australia is a country in the continent of Australia like theyre named the same thing and i just thought that new zealand and australia were both is the continent australia
I've always thought that Jimmy and Cindy would both be smart enough to figure out that Australia is both a continent AND a country. This is a blatant example of bad writing.
