They look scary. I wouldn't want to come across one.
shareI admit that they weren't the best, but they were supposed to be a second generation species, a bit more human than pure wolf. A deterioration if you will. If you look at William and those he infects in the sequel, and the "pure" ones in Rise of the Lycans, they looks much better and more wolf-like, the way you would expect a werewolf to look.
Rise of the Lycans revealed that Lucian was the first of a new breed. He was more human than the the ones referred to as "William's kind". He wasn't as strong, fast, vicious, or blood-thirsty as the others, and he spawned the new breed of lycans while William's kind were hunted until the war began.

I think they are the best werewolves I've seen and I've seen a lot.
shareI agree, all these years I never did like the design of the werewolves in this film. Heck, they look more like werehorses than wolves.
