since their first interaction, i've believed keel to be paul's father. he seems to protect that information from paul way too much. if it didn't matter, he would just tell him, but it seems like keel is protecting himself by not divulging the information.
i'm sure this will be discussed ad nauseum when the dvd is released. i'm so excited!!! i still rant about abc prematurely cancelling this rare quality show.
I highly doubt that Alva Keel is Paul's father, however, I do think some evil being or person is...

That's what I've been speculating too... ^^; I do think Alva knows a heck of a lot more than he's letting on about everything, Paul's father, Paul's role in everything, the coming end of the world... lol Can't wait to get the DVDs from Amazon!

alva definately knows a lot more than he lets on. i definately agree with you rekka about that. i still think alva is paul's father tho. i don't have a single compelling reason why, just the feeling i get from their interactions.

That's what I was feeling too. I mean yeah I know it's kind of soapy, but the way those two interact is just too family like. And the way Alva is over Paul it's almost like he is his father or a big brother or something.

I have the feeling that Poppi could have turned out to be his REAL father.
Not really based upon anything in the series, but generally in Sci-fi/Fantasy when you have a seemingly innocent character who tends to hang around for a while, they usually turn out to be something significant.
Oh and if you recall during Little Miss Lost Paul father was at the Hall of Records (or whatever that place was) while Paul and Alva were on the train.

I'm not sure; I would say that Paul's father is supposed to be some sort of demon or something, because in (I think The Ghost) one of the episodes you can see Alva's typing up something about "beast or no beast" and he and Evie talk once or twice about Paul's potential to be good or evil...

I kind of figured that Paul's father would turn out to be the Antichrist, or something like that. And that Paul would have to do battle with him, in some way. (Sigh!) Guess we'll never know . . .
