i NEED this show to come out on dvd, it is my favourite sitcom since friends (early friends) and it deserves a dvd release, when im off sick, no matter how ill i am, i run downstairs to watch this show, and if my sisters is back early from college she KNOWS she has to tape it for me, unfortunatly im @ secoundary school when its on so that is my only outlet!
we need some sorta petition to get this show out on dvd, WHOSE WITH ME!?!?
lol, sorry went a little crazy there, but still the point is valid!
'I tried and tried to hate them, but then, i found a little thing called serenity...or seredine, i dunno its a blue pill'
Do you have any idea why there hasn't been a dvd release of any sort, on any of the seasons of "Less Than Perfect?" It just doesn't make sense. It's had four whole seasons. Four. And not one of them has been out on dvd. It just doesn't make any sense unless the show wasn't exactly a hit, the overall public view on it was bad, or it didn't make enough money to profit manufacturing it into a season dvd release. And it doesn't seem like any of those would be it since it had four whole seasons. Count 'em, four. You just don't continue producing tv series if they're not well-liked, so obviously somebody loved the tv series "Less Than Perfect" enough. Or maybe it was it just the actor Andrea Parker playing Lydia. I bet that was the case. With her sassy attitude and spunk. She's someone to definently admire. So I ask again, with all of those options zeroed out for being the reason they didn't release the series on dvd, then what was it? Did they even give a reason? Can we contact them somehow and find out?
i don't know of any real ways to contact abc lol, damn my poor connections! and ur right about andrea paker though,. but you gotta love sherri shepard, just a facial expression and she has me laughing..and a tad in love lol, but then sara rue comes on screen and meakes me feel warm and happy inside......ANYWAY!
lol, moving swiftly on, i open it up to the people how do we contact them lol?

someone contact the WE channel...they should start running the re-runs...it'd be great...it'd be better then Hope and Faith which they recently began running, and Less has more eps then H&F did (81 eps altogether including the 8 unaired ones!) WE RERUN THIS SHOW!!!
i emailed abc1 in the UK they said there were no plans at the moment to release the program on dvd which is rather sad they said they would consider re-runs of the first series i hope they do release the program on dvd it is one of my all time favourites
I LOVE this show!!! I love all the characters, especially Lydia. hehe, she's my idol! How many shows have been released on dvd which were MASSIVE flops and didn't even last two seasons?? Fat Actress, The Comback (which I thought was quite good) are a few that come to mind. They would have to release it sometime, though.
I received an email from Sherri Shepherd who also confirmed that abc has no plans to release it as yet. I asked her if there was anything we can do and she said not really. But she did send me an autographed pic of the cast which was awesome of her.
isnt there anything we can do to get it released on dvd like start a petition or something? i really want to buy this show on dvd so much ive just watched playhouse which has to be one of the best episodes ever
You'd think there would be something we could do. It is unfair that less sucessful shows are being put on dvd and not this one. ATM, I'm just DVDR the episodes that are currently airing in Australia. Hopefully they can air the majority of them.
i don't think there's anything you can really do, its a touchstone/disney decision
also the show has never been released so far because it was never a particular hit, it did well enough for abc in the timeslot it was in, and it got some nice notices from the crix for the most part, but it was never a huge hit, it got mediocre ratings at best really. i liked it a lot when it was on, i never missed it, always went out of my way to tape it every week, and i was sad when it was cancelled (i wish they had given it at least 9 more episodes so it could have made syndication)but the whole reason abc canned it was because they moved it to friday nights after hope and faith in fall of 2004 into spring of 05, and decided to not renew it for the full season the next season (opting instead to bring it back for half a season of 13 eps at mid-season) sadly abc didn't bring her back until May, when it was too late for them to decide whether or not to bring it back or not. abc basically let it slip through their fingers, and cause it was never a ratings megahit for them, they kinda just forgot about it.kinda like nbc and scrubs...
here's the thing, it wasn't a hit, but it wasn't a flop either, it was one of those shows that does ok enough to justify a renewal each season (in the hopes of having enough years to get to syndication) until abc decided not to renew it one year. it wasn't enough of a hit show though that it could anchor their evening lineup the way (sadly) according to jim could a few years back. you know Less Than Perfect was one of those shows that the reality crazy sorta took away---it was a show that wasn't a big flashy show, but the network left it on the air, and it developed a bit of an audience while it was on, but when it got yanked, there wasn't like a gigantic outcry, it was mostly forgotten about, (which is largely why when it came back to the air for a brief couple of weeks in May of '06 after spending almost the whole season off the air, no one watched and it got canned right after.)
we used to have a lot more of those kinds of shows, time slot shows that ably held down the timeslot for the network while they went about trying to fix the holes in the rest of their skeds, but now cause of how much cheaper reality programming is for the networks, the timeslot shows kind of went away, but their coming back sorta with shows like Rules of Engagement on CBS....their still there, shows that do ok but aren't mega hits, but build up an audience while their still on and do ok for that timeslot.
I would love to see this show on DVD and would purchase it in heartbeat. This is the funniest show I've seen on TV in a long time. I loved the chemistry that the cast had and miss it so much. If anyone hears anything at all about a possible DVD release please post it and know that you have my support in your efforts to get Less Than Perfect on DVD. After all, this show couldn't be any more perfect.
tell me about it, nothing here of it, i have to watch some clips on utube, and not all are there or mess around. its not fair, as most other US shows are on dvd in UK Charmed Buffy Angel Friends Will and Grace Scrubs etc etc
WE WANT LESS THAN PERFECT ON DVD
