Is there a DVD?

Some years ago I've seen the film and really, really liked it. Since then, i'm waiting for a DVD. Unfortunately, I've never found it. So I want to know: Is there a DVD? How can i get it? (i'm from switzerland, btw)

reply

You can get it from Spain - http://www.dvdgo.com with subtitles in either Spanish or English.

Oooh, thank you SO MUCH. I didn't hope to get an answer!

I would love to have a copy of this one, but I can't find it -- DVDGO.com said that it's been discontinued. Anybody know anything about this? I'm from the U.S. and need a copy that will play in my DVD player -- region 1, I think. This was nominated for an Oscar; I can't believe it wasn't released in this country.

i want one too, SOOOO BADLY! I'm from the U.S. and I'm in Spain right now, but I think Spain is region 2, either way, their dvds don't work on our DVD players...I saw that DVDGO was out of them too, i tried amazon too, but they only had the book (which i think i might get anyway). if you hear anything let me know.

do you know what other countries are region 1?

reply

I just received my copy of the movie this morning (in PA-USA). I have not watched it yet. I got it from a source in Argentina. I would suggest that you buy a DVD player that plays ALL regions. It costs as little as $50, and you can then buy any DVD in the world.

If you want my source, please e-mail me at [email protected]. JC

Actually a couple of brand new copies (with Special Features) appear to have surfaced and are currently on Amazon.co.uk (region 2). You'd better hurry though, can't see them lasting long - I already ordered mine! Here's the ASIN code: B007W5PWVI
Just put that into the search on Amazon.co.uk and you have it.

Fastastic film.

If you like Kamchatka, you might be interested in Machuca:

it's about the golpe de estado in Chile.
