How was this canceled?

They just ran a 8 consecutive episodes on the Sci-Fi channel and I was wondering how this great show could have been canned after only one season? I haven't done any research but I'm guessing it just never found it's audience in time as in I had never heard of it until today but was able to watch a few episodes on my day off.

Hell even the lighting was spot on.

I mean a few common t.v. cliches and the such aside I think this show had great potential. A kind of hybrid of Constantine meets Sherlock Holmes with a little Sixth Sense to boot.

A great main character that could have carried the show alone in the always outstanding Mathew Fox with some solid supporting characters. It's just a shame to see an innovative idea put aside while 10 different CSI/Law & Order shows run amok in constant syndication, on over 20 channels, nightly.

I'm just going to right it off as Sci-Fi done it again....

On that note RIP Sightings a show that kept my out of trouble many a Friday night.

I'm going to place my money on the show being cancelled due to poor leadership over at UPN. The President of UPN when the show was on is none other than Dawn Ostroff, failure in chief of The CW today. So that's what I guess happened to the show, death by dope with programming power.

This was a great show. Loved it. Never missed an ep. I was generally sad when it got canceled.

Wholeheartedly agree!

I'm still reeling from Moonlight's cancellation, although, I don't think it was as well done as Haunted. None the less, both shows are now history.

Another show that had great potential was JOHN DOE starring Dominic Purcell of PRISON BREAK.

Oh, both Moonlight and Haunted were CBS programs. CBS always seem to cancel the shows I generally enjoy.

If anyone wants to watch the final eps of Haunted they can be found here:

Loved John Doe and Haunted. I still find myself in denial that we'll get a movie or something one day.

All those moments will be lost in time. Like tears in the rain. Time to die.
