This came out years ago regarding The Guardian series, 2001-2004. Several sources produced copies. I bought one for over $100 from someone in Canada which played once for me but, when I tried to watch them again, it wouldn't play. Our Yahoo! The Guardian group discussed this and someone produced a link which explained why people were allowed to sell copies of broadcast/cable shows of it and other series as long as Universal, or whoever owned it, wasn't doing the same. Once Universal made copies for sale, those other groups no longer could. My slow dial-up service makes researching this for you problematic (I have other things I must do), but, if you join the old Yahoo! The Guardian groups, the one with Nick and Lulu in the name (the Nick Fallin group is pure porn links now, if it still exists), and search for DVDs in the search engine, you'll find all the references to this. Again - sorry I can't locate a link for you. Keep in mind that making DVDs from a broadcast and selling them has nothing to do with the Internet. While they may be advertised on the Internet, they are from private citizens who are within the law that you'll find on that Yahoo! Group's website. Happy hunting. And, if you do find it, please paste it here with a URL for anyone to check on, the URL and the quote itself.
